DECK EXTENSION & LIVING ROOM UPGRADE

This project in Farmington involved extending a deck alongside the home’s existing enclosed porch, creating more usable outdoor space and a seamless connection to the yard.
We then removed a window from the home’s exterior and replaced it with a sliding glass door, opening up the living room to the new deck. To make the most of the materials — and the light — we reinstalled the original window on another wall in the living room. The result? A brighter, more balanced space that feels both open and inviting.
Building the Deck.

This is the original view of the back of the house before work began on the new deck. The window next to the existing enclosed porch was removed to make way for a new sliding glass door. That same window was later relocated to the living room to enhance natural light and symmetry.
DriLling the piers

Adding the floor
With the helical piers securely in, we installed structural posts and framed the new deck floor — creating a rock-solid base for outdoor living. This method not only ensures lasting stability, but it also allows us to move quickly from ground prep to build-out, keeping on time and yard intact
Using Trex
With the frame in place, the new deck is beginning to take shape — clean lines, sturdy structure, and a clear vision coming to life. We take pride in precision craftsmanship at every stage, using low-maintenance, long-lasting Trex composite decking to ensure beauty, durability, and comfort for years to come.
Sliding door installed
The new custom-designed slider was carefully installed and precisely leveled, creating a seamless transition from the living room to the new deck. This upgrade not only brings in more natural light but also enhances indoor-outdoor flow with a clean, tailored finish.
