On this deck, the customer had an issue with bumps, sags, and uneven deck boards.  We had to temporarily support the roof in order to remove the old decking and address the framing issues.

Next, we applied black Joist Tape, which creates a waterproof membrane that prevents wood rot and decay. Protective Joist Tape self-seals around screws and nails, blocking the primary pathway of water into lumber.

We then slid and screwed down the new decking underneath the railing system and support posts.

We were then able to remove the temporary roof supports, lowering the roof back down, and plugging the screw holes.
